This includes Glycolic, Pumpkin, Alpha Hydroxy Acid, Salicylic Acid, Microdermabrasion, Laser Facials, other ablative and on-ablative. Also included are Fraxel, Co2, and IPL laser treatments. •Do NOT use active skin products that contain AHA, Retinol A or Vitamin A products on or around the area for a month prior to the procedure. Day of Pre-Procedure Instructions •Please do NOT drink any alcohol 24 hours before your appointment. •Please eat something 20-30 minutes prior to your appointment. This keeps your blood sugar steady and helps you to be more comfortable and less sensitive. •Avoid any form of caffeine (coffee, soda, energy drinks) 6 hours prior to your appointment. Caffeine is a stimulant and will heighten your sensitivity. •Please do NOT take pain relief before your appointment unless it is a part of your daily prescription medication routine. They can cause bleeding which can affect retention of pigment. We will ensure you are comfortable. •If you are required to take antibiotics before dental procedures, please follow the same instructions from your doctor before the procedure. The Following are a few issues that will NOT qualify a person for any eyebrow procedure: •Currently Pregnant or Breastfeeding. •Has Cancer and is currently undergoing chemotherapy or radiation. •Steroid Medication and Prednisone (Must be Off for at least 2 months). •Has an open wound present (In procedure area; brows, lash line, lip). •Has aged skin that is extremely thin or severely wrinkled. •If you take Roaccutane or Accutane for acne you must have finished these 6 months prior before having your procedure. Please check with your doctor before having a Microshading procedure if: Have diabetes and under doctor’s care (Frequent visits / uncontrolled A-1C levels). Have been in remission from Cancer for 1 year. Have high blood pressure. Using blood thinning prescriptions. During the Appointment Please allow at least 2 ½ hours for your first appointment and 1 ½ hours for your follow up.  Elishah will measure and style your brows and discuss your expectations and answer any question you may have. Once you are happy with your enhanced brow design, a suitable pigment color is chosen. Elishah can mix colors to achieve the best match based on your skin tone. She will apply a topical aesthetic that numbs your skin and will continue to apply this during the procedure, so you remain comfortable. Elishah follows strict infection control protocols and uses disposable implements to add a soft shaded background or powder brow (digital machine). Pigment is deposited into the upper skin layers using a handheld implement or digital machine. After the Procedure Elishah will go over the after care in detail with you so you understand your responsibilities to ensure the best healing outcome. The area treated will appear very intense, exact and darker in color due to the pigment oxidising when first treated – but this won’t last! The skin heals from epidermis layer up and as it does there will be 30% – 50% loss in pigment color and a slight shrinking in shape. Healing is different for everyone but some peeling or flaking of skin is normal – DO NOT PICK!   You can expect some pigment loss during the healing, and this is why it is a two-part procedure. We asks you to avoid the following, so please plan for this procedure accordingly: * No swimming for 2 weeks after, including spa baths/hot tubs. * No strenuous exercises or heavy sweating for a week. * No makeup on the area until completely healed * No Botox for 3 weeks after final procedure * Do not EVER use products containing AHA, Retinol A or Vitamin A as these products will remove pigment color from your eyebrows. The Follow up Appointment The follow up appointment is an important step in completing the procedure and needs to be made 4-6 weeks after your initial appointment. This is where we will fine tune and perfect areas that have faded too much and make color adjustments if needed.
